The AMPI workshop was held at Gladstone from 3rd – 5th May 2017 and Peter Burney represented Navicom Dynamics as gold sponsors at the event. It was an action packed couple of days with marine pilots and officials from the maritime industry all keenly participating in the workshop. The central theme was challenges to pilots and how to manage them including fatigue management, transfers and communication. The attendees were mainly from across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands with a few from other parts of the world.

Along with an exhibition stand with demonstration equipment and marketing collateral, Navicom delivered a presentation on Advancements in Technology in Portable Pilot Units which was very well received and became a quality interactive session with interesting questions and comments from attendees.   It was a great opportunity to meet many of our existing customers, while also getting the chance to build new relationships within the industry.

We are thankful to Capt. Luke Felsinger and the team at AMPI for the opportunity to be part of the pilot fraternity and to exchange views while we learn more about them and their work-life. We wish the AMPI team our very best and look forward to the next AMPI event to be held in Fremantle this November.
