Under the agreement, Marico Marine becomes a licensed European reseller of Navicom’s portable pilot units (PPUs), which are currently used by marine pilots in over 30 countries. Their PPUs greatly support the precise navigation needed by marine pilots in the conduct of confined and delicate berthing manoeuvres, channel pilotage, plus offshore tandem moorings and SPM berthings.
As well as being resellers for Navicom, Marico Marine also takes on the role as Navicom’s official support centre in Europe; Marico will be able to provide prompt and comprehensive in-market support, complete specific Navicom approved service and repair as well as holding a stock of common spare parts.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Marico Marine, who we feel complement our business operations very well. Marico’s expertise and reputation in the ports industry reinforces our position of providing excellent solutions to the piloting, shipping and offshore industries. Our partnership with Marico will also play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in Europe, and we look forward to working closely together,” said John Tamis, Chairman of Navicom Dynamics.
John Riding, CEO of Marico Marine said “The closer working relationship between Navicom Dynamics and Marico is the result of many years of friendship and mutual support in this sector. We have witnessed the development of the Navicom Dynamic product into one of the most reliable and accurate PPU systems on the market. The harbours selecting this equipment are investing in state of the art and reliable equipment, that now has a dedicated support centre in Europe.”
